Dear Physical Education Students and Parents,

I would like for all of my 4th-8th grade students to stay healthy and physically active, within a safe environment, during this time away from school.  I have an assignment/project that I would like ALL students to work on and complete by their return to school.

I have listed a few activities that will help students and their families while on this break:

  1. Stay active by helping out around the house with chores (Yard work, sweeping, vacuuming, etc,.).

  2. Get a piece of sports equipment (basketball, soccer ball, football, badminton set, jump rope, volleyball, or tennis ball) and ask a family member to play catch or join you in the activity.  Try and stay involved in the activity for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Individual workouts can include push-ups, sit-ups (crunches), cherrypickers, jumping jacks, and jump rope.  Make sure you are stretching before and after each workout.

I will be available daily from 10 AM - 1 PM to answer any questions that parents or students may have.

Email: dcordero@bantasd.org.

I hope for a quick return to our normal school routines.

Stay safe and healthy,

Mr. Cordero
